#1 Possible good starter blender! by FrugalRaw 14.06.2012 16:45

I just looked at the specs on this blender, and I have to say, for the $$ it looks like it would be a great starter! It is priced at only $99 (Ninja), as opposed to $550 (Vitamix). The Ninja has 1000 watts and a 2 year warranty, whereas the Vitamix has 1350 watts and a 7 year warranty. Not that I have anything against the Vitamix - I LOVE mine, and have had it for 7 years and so far (*knock wood*) so good!

So those who are on the market for a high powered blender, but need to keep it frugal, check out the Ninja here: http://www.ninjakitchen.com/Ninja-NJ600-...l-Blender.shtml

Way cool! How long have you had it? How well does it work? I would love to see how it would fare side-by-side a Vitamix. I LOVE finding frugal alternatives!!!

I can't remember when I got it, but it is the only blender that I have not burnt up! HAHA!

That is way cool!! My husband and I looked at a Ninja at Kohl's that was a pro kitchen system 1200 - so even CLOSER to the Vitamix specs! It's good to hear that it is serving you well. I love that it has multiple blades, and it looks like it could essentially function also as a food processor?
